This meeting is held under the auspices of each Presidency in accordance with the EU Action Plan on Drugs and is a forum for political debate and exchange of information on drug issues and relevant responses.

In the Meeting the theme of the Greek Presidency will be highlighted and developed, which focuses on the Economic Crisis and its Impact on the Policy against Drugs. The work of the Presidency will be concluded with two Resolutions in relation to the following new challenges:
1. Need for addiction-related training, and
2. Economic crisis and its impact on the fight against drugs
